Already becoming difficult to find, Zhu Zhu pet hamsters are creating a tremendous amount of buzz as this year's hottest, most sought-after toy for this holiday season. Even though it is still early, the toys have gotten a lot of attention due to it's exciting TV commercial spots that constantly air on all of the popular kids shows. They also have a website that does a good job in showing how the whole system (the hamsters and playsets) interacts to really create a great deal of fun.

The Zhu-Zhu pets have colorful names and the toy creators have given each of the pets it's own distinctive quirks and traits, adding a nice variety of personalities to the mix. Numnums seems to be in constant search of something to eat, while Chunk enjoys relaxing and is a bit more mellow than the other hamsters, Pipsqueek likes to keep you on the move as he is probably the most active of the bunch, Mr. Squiggles is the trouble-maker of the group and seems to forever be getting into some kind of trouble. With two different operating modes available, your child can experience a variety of exchanges with each Zhu Zhu Pet. Your hamsters will be most active when placed in the Explore Mode as they become curious and begin to move inside of their hamster tubes and dart along the floors of your kitchens and bedrooms. While in this mode, they will also enjoy interacting with your child, the pet's environment and the other Zhu Zhu Pets themselves. When placed in the Loving Mode, your child will be able to enjoy some quiet time with their new pet as it cuddles and purrs as your child gently handles it.
